About Me.
​My name is Benjamin Sherwin. I am a 24-year-old from South Lake Tahoe, California, and I am pursuing a career in professional film production. For the last seven years, I have had a great experience in both technical and Creative fields, making my first short film when I was 12 and never looked back. I have been doing media studies since high school where I created a movie trailer with DYI film equipment for my senior project. After Highschool I pursued local gigs involving media, such as wedding videography and Real Estate Photography, until I decided to further my education at Cuesta College to Receive my associate's degree. Upon Completion, the Covid-19 pandemic hit, and progress was halted, but after the lockdown was lifted I enrolled In Chico State and Graduated with a BA in Media Arts with an option in Production. I am eager and willing to work in a professional environment and am ready to pursue jobs as a videographer/photographer. I have access to large amounts of high-quality equipment and am always looking for a fun and creative challenge to push the boundaries of what is to be expected from filmmaking and video production as a whole.

Studied in the Media Arts major with an option in production and graduated with valuable skills such as proficiency in Avid Media Composer, Studio TV equipment, HTML & CSS, High-end Cinema gear such as the Blackmagic 6k, and experience putting on live production in a Studio Environment. Helped revitalize the Digital Film Makers guild which produced several high-quality short films that premiered in the club's Filmfest known as Smash. I also Interned for KCSC Radio and was assigned to the production teams to help create logos and take photos of Musicians that had partnered with the radio station.
Traveled down to San Luis Obispo to receive my Associate in Science Transfer with the option in Film, Tv, and Electronic Media. During my time in their department, I learned Technical Skills in Audio, Single Camera Feild Production, Sports broadcasting, and Acting.
Early Education
2013-2017
Started my work in filmstudies with television production for my high school's weekly show and starred as lead anchor for season 3 of the show. During this time I also gained proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Audition.
